Check this out, from IMDb.com:
"New Movie Media Devices Predicted - Presaging a day when hand-held media devices come preloaded with thousands of movies, videos and music tracks that can be individually unlocked by a code -- thereby eliminating the need for slow downloads -- scientists at IBM said on Friday that they had developed a new type of storage device capable of holding a hundred times more information than those in current use. Writing in the magazine Science, the scientists, who are based at the IBC research center in San Jose, CA, said that the device, smaller than those used in iPods, would be able to hold about 3,500 full-length films, and use so little power that it could run on a single battery charge for weeks at a time. Use WD40 on your PC and watch it become smarter!
WD40 my ass!
then probably not so constipated!
You're such a smooth operator, Anonymous.
well said BMF.
very smooth, anonymous. very smooooth...
like a baby's butt.
anyway, back to the main story. do we really need a small yet powerful device that can hold up to 3,500 movies? i mean...BMF, i'm sure you can name your top 1,000 movies of the century, right?...but 3,500?
hm...maybe BMF should start reviewing bollywood stuff. haha.
so, where's my friggin' tricorder?
nuff said...
he man! who is "anonymous"?
I know u gays think it is me, but honestly, it is NOT me man! someone is tryin to frame me...
anyway, if this device can hold 3.5k worth of movies, what does the current 160GB iPod able to hold?
Thus, wat so great about this dumbass, crap-shit alien tech?
Chao-Chee-Bat...man!
160Gb divide by 3,500 movies... that means you're saying an iPod can hold that amount of movies for about 46Mb per movie? Sure that's enough mem for a decent resolution movie?
there is something called YouTube (aka .flv) video format... very tiny file size...
You're not called Tech Freak for nothing! :)
Anyway, the article also mentioned about incredible power savings.
